Penis Enalrgement Revisited

Published By:

Penis enlargement is a multi-million dollar industry, every year thousands of men try and enlarge the size of their penis using various methods. Today, penis enlargement can be carried out using a variety of techniques and penis enlargement methods are broadly classified into invasive and non-invasive methods. Non-invasive methods of penis enlargement are widely used and are also by and large the safer of the two methods. Invasive methods offer guaranteed results but are also riskier, and can result in impotence and loss of sensation.

Invasive methods of penis enlargement include silicone injections, surgery or a combination of surgery and silicone injections. Somewhat similar to breast implants, silicone is directly injected into the penis to increase its girth and unlike non-invasive methods the gain in girth is almost instantaneous. However, there are a host of complications that can occur due to silicone injections. There have been documented cases of impotence, allergic reactions and loss of sensation due to silicone injections. Another invasive method of penis enlargement is surgically removing the penis from the base and then increasing the length of the penis by inserting prosthetics at the base of the penis. It is a medically proven fact that nerves once severed do not regenerate, this means that a single misdirected incision during penis elongation can actually lead to permanent impotence.

Invasive methods of penis enlargement are risky, and only a small number of people attempt penis enlargement by using invasive penis enlargement methods. Non-invasive penis enlargement methods are vast and varied, and can be further divided into mechanical and non mechanical enlargement processes.

Mechanical penis enlargement methods employ penis pumps and specialized traction devices. Penis pumps are one of the oldest known devices used for penis enlargement. Penis pumps are designed to create a suction zone around the penis which stretches the penis thus elongating and strengthening it. Apart from penis pumps, specialized devices like the SizeGenetics TM ProExtender claim to be effective and are based on improved hanging and stretching methods. Non-mechanical penis enlargement methods involve consumption of pills and direct application of creams. It is important to note, that none of the non-invasive methods mentioned are scientifically proven to be effective. Compared to invasive methods, non-invasive methods are safer and do not cause serious side effects like impotence or loss of sensation.

Another popular method used for penis enlargement is following specially formulated exercises for the penis. Since the penis is mostly muscle, it should be possible to enlarge the penis by exercising the muscles. Penis exercises are easy and do not require any additional equipment; however penis exercises are not as effective as the other methods mentioned earlier.
Naturally, people choose invasive methods like silicone and surgery only as a last resort as the risks involved in invasive penis enlargement are very high. Non-invasive penis enlargement methods are based on safer penis enlargement principles like stretching, hanging, Jelqing and clamping. Eventually, it is up to the person to choose which method of penis enlargement he wants to use.

Pros and Cons of Invasive methods
The biggest advantage of invasive methods is that they achieve concrete results. For example, people have reported up to 900% increase in girth after silicone injections and up to a 3 inch gain in penis length after penis elongation surgery. The downside of invasive methods is that they can irreparably damage the penis and in severe cases result in permanent impotence. In essence, the risks far outweigh the advantages, and it is smarter to use non-invasive methods to carry out penis enlargement. Since most surgeons clearly mention that they are not responsible for any resultant ‘side effects’, the onus of any corrective surgery is entirely on the patient and not the surgeon or the hospital that is facilitating the surgery.
