You may know by now that magnetic bracelets are used primarily for pain all up and down the arm. You probably also know that golfers and arthritis sufferers wear them, and some people wear them as a preventative measure. You probably also know some of the benefits claimed by those who wear magnetic bracelets. What you may not understand are the differences between the various types offered for sale. In this article I'll discuss some of the main types of bracelets so you'll know what to look for. Although there are variations within each type, there are a few different major categories based on construction. In deciding on which bracelet is the right one for you, there are several things to keep in mind. The basic types of magnetic bracelets are made as singles, doubles, triples, or lariats. Singles - Single bracelets are, like the name says, a single strand of bead. The beads can be either all magnetic, or magnetic with accent beads. They can be either the stretchy type, or non-stretchy with a magnetic clasp. Doubles - Doubles are two strands of beads, non-stretchy type, with a magnetic clasp. Doubles allow for up to twice the magnets as singles which can provide for stronger therapy. Triples - Triple bracelets are made with three strands of beads and a magnetic clasp. They may have up to three times the number of magnets as a single. Lariats - Magnetic lariats, also snakes or wraps can be used as a necklace or anklet as well. They are typically 36 or 37 inches long, and are clasp-less. They wrap around your neck, arm, or ankle, using the magnets to stay together. They are very versatile, strong, and popular. Now that you're familiar with the basic types of construction, you can better make your choice. Style and attractiveness, while important are secondary to the therapy properties. Obviously this is not the case if you're buying strictly for fashion. One more thing to note: when choosing magnetic bracelets, you want the maximum therapy advantages for pain relief. That means selecting the one with the largest number of strong magnets.
